Terms of Use
Theory Sprout · Effective 24 October 2026
These terms are between you and Brightsmilesolutions Ltd ("we"), which makes Theory Sprout. If you downloaded Theory Sprout from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If the two conflict, the Apple agreement wins for App Store downloads.
Full access
- Theory Sprout is free to download. Full access is a one-time purchase, and its price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. It isn't a subscription, so nothing renews.
- Full access unlocks what the app describes when you buy it, on the store account you bought it with, for as long as we offer Theory Sprout. To use it on another phone, sign in with the same store account and tap Settings › Restore purchases.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled under their policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or through your Google Play order history for Android. Your rights under consumer law in your country are not affected.
What Theory Sprout is
Theory Sprout is a study aid for the car theory test in Great Britain. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee that you'll pass. The Highway Code and the law always come first: if anything in the app seems to differ from them, follow them, and please tell us. Theory Sprout is not an official DVSA product, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
Content and licences
The Highway Code and the traffic sign images are Crown copyright, used under the Open Government Licence v3.0; see Settings › About in the app. Apart from that, Theory Sprout's design, illustrations and code belong to us. Don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Theory Sprout is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live, and can bring claims there.
